OMG!!!!

I just made this today and I've just got to say that it's the BEST tomato soup I have ever eaten. I only made half of this recipe cause I was sure I would like it but, I'm making it again and again. Thank you so much for posting this on pinterest.. Oh and I didn't find the need to change anything I made it exactly as you have it written!!!

Delicious

I made these today and they are wonderful.! I used my bread machine on the dough cycle which made them super simple. It was exciting to see them puff up in the oven, but nothing compares to the taste of these gems! My son was shocked that these were pita breads, because they were so moist and chewy. This is another winner and I will be making these regularly. Thank you again Tammy!

Wheat Free Pepperoni!!

This is what I was looking for, a wheat free pepperoni. It's hard to find in the stores, and I'm not real fond of paying the crazy price for it when I do find it. I make donair meat (probably a Nova Scotian, east coast Canadian favourite) all of the time, and it's basically the same concept. Mine is currently in the oven and will be done in 8 hours, but I wanted to say that going in, it smelled like the real deal. I know with donair meat, the longer it sits, especially after it's cooked, the better texture and flavour it gets.

For Mike Feeling Old and his quest for food safe tube - not sure if he considers plastic wrap food safe or not, but that's what I did to make my rolls. I just put a bunch on a sheet and formed it as best I could. Then I rolled the wrap around it and proceeded to continue to roll it (imagine using a rolling pin, that's what it looks like). Then I just picked it up and put it in the tray, and began to unroll the wrap - the roll of pepperoni was perfectly shaped.

Thanks for sharing!!
Janice

After a bit of fixing this is good!

I found that these muffins are not at all sweet and VERY bland but when I added 1 Tablespoon of vanilla, 1/4 Teaspoon of almond extract, added 1/3 of a cup of sugar, instead of raisins I used dried cranberries, and I used butter instead of oil as I tend to be allergic to most every oil except coconut and butter. I chose the butter as I thought the taste would bring out the better flavor.

Freezable?

I am looking for a freezable chicken pot pie...have you tried it with this one? If so, do you place the crust before freezing, or freeze separately and assemble once thawed?

Many thanks!

2 for 1: Zoj Question and Milled Grain Question

Hi Tammy!
I just got a grain mill AND a Zojirushi bread maker for Christmas, and I followed the Breadbecker's recipe to the "T", but it resulted in a disaster in terms of texture and it didn't rise, and I didn't like the flavor of their recipe (very strong yeast flavor) - so here are my questions about your recipe, because I hate wasting the grain and I hate to disappoint my little one who is looking forward to learning how to bake bread himself - how was that for a long sentence :)?

1) Which setting do you use on the Zoj when using the milled grain? The Breadbeckers do a homemade setting with specific times for each rise/bake, so I wanted to see what you do. It seems like the point of the bread maker is to not have to take it out and bake it in an oven...? But if I have to, so be it.

2) Will Soft White Wheat be a disaster because it's too soft? I really want a fluffy, soft loaf and I'm scared to use hard white or the red.

3) Do you think I absolutely have to substitute in the gluten with the milled grain to get the fluff I'm looking for? I try to avoid extra gluten for health reasons.

4) If I'm milling my own grain, just use 3 cups of it? ...instead of 1.5 and 1.5?

Thank you so much!
Ashley

Oh so good!

I just made a double batch of these maple glazed walnuts...they are still warm...everyone went to bed...I'm not sure there will be any left for them!
So easy to make! I used vegan butter and it worked quite well!
This recipe is a definite keeper!!! Thanks for sharing it!

Best whole wheat bread

I tried your whole wheat bread recipe a few weeks ago and love it! It turns out perfect! I have had a grain mill for about 8 years and have been looking for a whole wheat bread that is not too heavy or dense and can be cut for sandwiches without totally falling apart. Yours passed the test. I have also tried many of your other recipes and have been equally satisfied with the turnout! Thank you so much!

God Bless

It is easy!

I love that this is easy enough to whip up in the morning for a quick breakfast. The sweetness factor is just right for me... however, my boy loves it when I add chocolate chips on top (before baking). I also like to add nuts or fruit before baking and rarely serve it with milk ... we just eat it like cake :). I do use an 8x8 pan as another commenter mentioned.

My Daughter askes for more!

My daughter gets hungary about an hour after she eats lunch at school and so her teacher suggested I start leaving granola bars with the staff so she can get eat as she needs to. We all know there arn't to many good tasting and good for you granola bars out at the store so I found this and well WOW. I used 1/2c cocanut oil and 1/4 c. butter, instead of honey I used 1/2 c simple syrup (I make useing 3c. Organic cane sugar and 2c H2o stir over medium heat till sugar is totally disolved) and added nuts, crazens and cocanut along with the rest and ommitted two cups of oats per batch.. Now the staff is asking for the recipe.

Yummy Shephards pie

My kids LOVED it and as teenagers go its offten hard to find somthing they like! I did use more salt / seasoning, more cheese and when I make my mashed taters I always make them so you can eat them without gravy,so they have lots of flavor- nothing bland about it!

Going into our dinner rotation...

This was soooo good! Tasted very similar to tacos, but without the fatty beef. I followed the recipe exactly, and won't change a thing when I make it again (and again!). Thank you for a delicious, healthy and filling meal idea!

I didn't do a great job but everyone loved them...

I made them for Thanksgiving. My house was kind of cold so the dough didn't raise that well and the rolls tasted kind of yeasty but everyone loved them! So I will definitely make these again. Thanks for the recipe!

Cannot figure out why 3 say these are not good. They have the same ingredients as any waffle batter, there is nothing in these that would taste bad, unless you are using rancid oil or butter.

Horrible.

I tried this with my friend and we both agree that it tastes like a bar of soap.. We got so sick of eating them we fed them to the birds and I don't even think that they like them and birds eat pretty much anything. I will not be making these EVER AGAIN.. Waste of time.
