| Whole Wheat Calzone I had a couple of problems with this recipe. First, I think maybe the circle might need to be 8 inches instead of 7. I only added 1/2 cup of mixture instead of 3/4 and I still had a hard time sealing the edges. They opened up during cooking and some filling spilled out. Also, the whole wheat crust was a little bitter. Maybe it was the flour I had, I don't know, but I think I might try to use this filling with my other calzone dough. Overall, I think it was a good recipe, just would adjust somethings for our tastes. Thanks Tammy! |
