April 29, 2007 -- Homemade Apple Pizza This week's featured recipe is homemade apple pizza! This dessert pizza features a soft homemade pizza crust with a cream cheese spread and apple slices, topped with a crumb topping. It's similar to the apple pizzas that some pizza restaurants sell, and makes a delicious treat! And if you've ever made homemade pizza before, this recipe won't be difficult for you. :)  This looks excellent! I love making pizza, and I'm going to have to try this! -Audrey- Have you ever tried using sugar cookie dough for the crust? I bet that would be good. I'll have to pick up some apple. I make a version of this too with apples but you can also use cheeries, apricots and just brown sugar with cinnamon and honey (my kids fav!) When I make pizzas I have tomake dessert pizza too!
