She is doing an amazing job, and coming home to this recipe was a treat--so good, I plan to whip up a version this weekend. Building on the flavors in this recipe, I would suggest increasing the onion to 2 medium onions, but slowly carmelized until golden brown. Then, cut the milk back to 1 1/2 cups, while including 1/2 cup of dry white wine. These two ingredients will add depth and complexity to an already delicious foundation. |
