"But Mom, we were just trying to get some more animal crackers!"
Yehoshua dumped the whole 2-pound bag of animal crackers on the high chair tray for Eliyahu and himself. I started cleaning them up, and realized that I should take a picture. ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one!
My daughter loves those crackers too! She'd subsist on a diet of cheddar cheese, grapes, and animal crackers if I would let her. I had been wondering if I was a bad mom to give her crackers rather than baking her something, but it was kind of a relief to see that even excellent cooks like you sometimes give packaged foods to the kids! Maybe when the baby is a little older (he's 4 weeks) and I'm getting more sleep, I'll get back to baking more often!
Kid snacks...
LOL! :)
Although this was the first time I have bought animal crackers, we buy all-natural cheerios for snacks frequently. :) My boys also love string cheese! :)
Personally, I like snacks that don't make too much of a mess. Homemade muffins make an awful mess, even though they try to eat neatly! :P
Too cute!
That is so funny - and you're smart to take a picture. :) I wonder how many pictures of things like this my mom could have taken (there were 9 of us) instead of cleaning up or disciplining right away. ;) I LOVED these crackers when I was pregnant last year - it will be funny to see if my daughter likes them when she is older, or if I ate too many. :)
A smile :)
Good for you for taking a picture! We mommys often tend to think about the extra work, but stopping to take a picture can actually give us a smile. :) ~Tanya
Looks like they have a whole
Looks like they have a whole zoo on the tray! ;) :)
Sweet
You have to admire the little man for being so independent. You can really squish their desire to help and do things on their own if you had reacted differently. I am sorry to say I have slipped before and you just see the joy drain from their little faces. But it was a learning moment for me! You are a great Mommy!
so sweet!
Tammy,
You will always be so happy that are wise enough to see and hold on to the little things that so many parents take for granted. I have several pictures like this one that always make me smile years later. : )
