Hungry for... ice cream

Pickles and ice cream...

Here's a picture of tonight's bedtime snack. Doesn't it look delicious?! ;) Just kidding... I'm actually not eating pickles and ice cream for snacks... never have, and probably never will, though I love pickles and I love ice cream!

We are, however, thanking our Heavenly Father for the news of another little blessing being added to our family... sometime in February or March of next year!

Yehoshua (3) and Eliyahu (18 months) are both looking forward to a new little brother or sister... and me? I'm just trying to update my blog on a semi-regular basis without getting sick from looking at all the pictures of food. :P

I am pregnant with my third

I am pregnant with my third now. I was never sick with my first two (girl and boy), but ended up being very nauseous with this one (another boy). It was definitely a different experience.

Anyway. Congratulations on your new pregnancy! Babies are an awesome miracle from God. I realize this more and more everytime I see a new little one.

Congrats to you and your family!

Beth

Praise God for all whom all blessings flow!
To be honest with you, when I saw that picture above, I was like "could she be pregnant?" I mean, do people who aren't pregnant really eat pickles and ice cream together??? :)
Bless you!!!!!

What wonderful news!

I'm so so happy for you and your family. This is really wonderful :)
Unlike most of your other faithful readers, I clearly have no idea what being pregnant means, because I really didn't connect your strange combination of pickle and ice cream with such happy news.
Did you actually eat that? Or was it just a picture to tell everyone?

Aline

Congratulations!

Congratulations!!! I've only been reading your blog for the last month or so, but what exciting news!

What a blessing :)!!!

That's wonderful! Congratulations :)!
When I first pulled up your blog page and saw the picture I said, "She's having a baby!!!". My oldest daughter was beside me reading over my shoulder and after we finally got to the part on the second page where you officially announced your good news her eyes got wide and she said, "How did you know mom?!" :). That was great ;).
I am so happy for you and your family!!!

yay!

Congratulations! I hope the morning (or noon or night or all of the above) sickness is not too bad!

Congrats!

I'm happy to hear your news. I also understand the sickness. With my second (my only son) I was so sick that I couldn't even brown hamburger! It was awful. There was absolutely not one variety of meat that I could cook. It stayed with me the entire time. I will pray that your queasies end quickly.

It was okay, though. We learned to eat a LOT of new foods (salads, etc.) and I had a big (9 lb, 13 oz.) son. He is now 6'5" tall and is a very picky eater. Pretty funny.

New Bubby

I knew as soon as I saw that picture that there was a very special announcement coming!! I'm very much interested in the names you and Joshua are thinking of... especially if it's a girl... your boys have such wonderfully unusual names. I'm still trying to work out if I am pronouncing Eliyahu's name correctly... half the time I get to Eli (which, incidentally, is the name of our baby due in October) and then give up *grin*.

Joining this journey with you!!

Hi Tammy and family...I am a loyal blog reader of yours although I rarely comment ... sorry :) but... My newly-wed husband (January 2007) and I are expecting our first little blessing at the same time as yours!! Hopefully I will be able to get some helpful info from you, as an experienced mom!! All praise to our wonderful Lord!

Congratulations!

I was waiting for you to announce it as Tanya let it slip out and i had suspected because of something you else you wrote, but didn't want to read into it! I am amazed you are cooking at all!

Congratulations!

We are praying for you and your new wonderful blessing. I am a mom of a 3YO, an 18MO,and a new one in utero. I love your ideas and advice. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hurray!

I'm praising God with you for your newest blessing! Baby news is some of the best in the world... :-)

Congratulations!

I love this post, and I love your news of another precious life! I hope you feel well and enjoy it all to the fullest! (Me, I get sick and stay sick from week 7 until about week 24. . . and I do mean sick. But it's worth it.)

Love, Emily of Pearlibuttons/Shady Hill House

Congratulations!!

Congrats to you!! How exciting!! What a cute way to tell us! Lots of my friends are pregnant right now and it makes me want a third very soon! In God's timing, I know!

Congratulations!

Great, creative way to announce your good news!

I just started the second trimester of my second pregnancy... so just remember that it DOES get better (even though several times in the last few weeks, I wondered!).

Congrats !

Such wonderful news... all the best !

Congratulations!

I am very happy for you. Children are such a blessing. Just this morning my husband and I were talking about the blessing of children. We have five so far, and are stressed right now because of an upcoming visit from my family (who believe I have thrown my life away by becoming a wife and mother). Needless to say, I wish some people were not so blind to the absolutely incomparable treasures that these little babies are! God bless you and your husband and little ones.

Awesome!

Can't wait to hear what this baby is named. Your sons have such interesting names. Having got mine "ready made" thru adoption I can't be very helpful on what foods might not make you sick right now, but I will send lots of prayers.

We're both due around the same time! I can't wait to follow your pregnancy. Are you starting to show, yet? Congrats!

Pickles and ice cream...

Thank you all for your well-wishes and excitement for us! :)

I'm glad that the photo "worked"... I thought pickles and ice cream was one of the most common "pregnancy food combos" (is it really true? Or just a stereotype? :D) so I was hoping it would be obvious. ;) And yes, Aline, I guess in the U.S., anyway, pregnant women are known for craving pickles with ice cream. I've never wanted to eat that, though!! :P

Shelby, that is a funny story! Thanks for sharing! :)

About the pronounciation of Eliyahu's name... First, this page talks about the meanings and pronounciation of our childrens' names, and this page has a link to an audio clip where you can hear how we say the names. :)

Amanda, thanks for commenting, and welcome!! :) I'm not starting to show yet... at least, not any more than I already "did", since I think I look slightly pregnant all the time anyway! Embarassed But I will definitely share pregnancy pictures as the months pass... I think during pregnancy is about the only time I ever take the time to have my picture taken! :)

TAMMY!!!!!

TAMMY!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I understand what you meant by your comment on my blog! Oh I am so happy for you!

WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Tammy, this is excellent news. Congratulations! You'll never regret having babies close together. It is tons of fun, even if it is tons of work. :)

His, Lisa

I KNEW IT! :)

Honestly, for the last few weeks I've had this inkling that you were expecting. And the photo of the craving my mom always had when she was pregnant confirmed my suspiciouns :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy for you and yours!!

Too funny!

I actually missed this post as we were out of town for the 4th of July, and I didn't scroll down to see all the posts I'd missed - Oops! Then I read your post about making a meal for a relative and someone commented on you being preggo and I thought, "What!? I missed it!!" So, belated congratulations to you and your family - what a wonderful blessing from the Lord! Praying you have an easy pregnancy and delivery, with strength from above to care for your hubby and little ones. :)

In Him-
~Vicky

Congratulations!

Wonderful news!

I saw that you've been sick,

I saw that you've been sick, and I know almost every mother has her own recommendations on what to eat when you are suffering through morning/noon/and night sickness...but here's what I liked: plain matzohs. People used to tell me to eat saltines but they were always too salty for me and disgusted me. But plain (made with flour and water only)matzah were pretty good and absorbed the acid. If you can't find them in the store, they are not hard to make--but a little time-consuming.

I hope the nausea ends soon for you.

Krista

Congrats! I'm also pregnant

Congrats! I'm also pregnant with my third, and due in mid February! I had terrible sickness with my first two-for the first 5 months! I have escaped it pretty well with this one(I'm about 10 weeks. I did find that the few times I did have nausea, it helped to chew on some candied ginger. If your interested, check out morningsicknesshelp dot com. I ordered TONS of stuff from them, and the ginger items worked for me-I just didn't need as much as I anticipated! Gocngratulations again!
