We had some tomatoes from my fathers garden and they were going bad fast. I was eating peanut butter and tomato sandwiches as fast as I could but it wasn't fast enough. :) Anyway I decided to make the tomato soup tonight for supper. We had it with grilled cheese sandwiches and it was superb!! I really don't know how it tasted so good as there were really no measurements to follow. I just threw a portion of the ingredients you listed and somehow or another it worked. Just before serving I poured in a can of evaporated milk. Oh my goodness! It tasted great before but it was heavenly after. :) I'm not sure it would have tasted as good with store bought tomatoes but those Iowa ones were a hit.
