Weekend guest menu

We were blessed yesterday and today with a visit from some friends who live in the Detroit area. My friend Emily brought her 4 little ones with her and let me just say that having 7 children 5-and-under all here at once was... interesting. ;) The four oldest were all boys -- very rowdy boys. ;) Things quieted down after bedtime and Emily and I actually got to talk and grind wheat (for fun!) and eat chips and salsa. :)

For breakfast we had Easy Whole Grain Pancakes, and Joshua made his Apple Spice Syrup for on top. Yummy! :)

The lunch menu was Grilled Chicken Pizza, fresh pineapple, and a salad.

And last night, we had Easy Cheeseburger Casserole.

Emily took this picture of us before she left:

It was such a blessing to get to spend time with Emily in person again! She's visited us twice before -- you can see pictures and read about one of Emily's earlier visits here -- back when we each had just 2 boys. :)

Pizza

Your pizza looks so good. I made one last week and lets just say I wasn't impressed with myself. It not only was not appealing to the eye but just didn't taste very good either.

nosey

Is it too nosey to ask where you live? I know you mentioned Ohio before and I'm wondering if its near me?

How wonderful. Friends are

How wonderful. Friends are always a blessing. My best friend from high school lives close to an hour and half away. We cherish our phone call each week to each other and talk while we do chores around the house. It makes the time fly with chores and so much more fun...my stomach pure aches from all the giggling we do. Your menu you planned looks so yummy. I can't wait to try the cheese burger casserole.

Looks good :)

I just found your site off a blog off of homesteadblogger.com. I will be coming back for recipes.

I love baking and cooking, and your menu looks wonderful! That hamburger noodle casserole looks wonderful! I will have to try it sometime. I am always looking for new ideas for simple meals. I am always experimenting with spices and trying to make dinner a little more exciting.

Baking is so fun! I bake a lot, mostly sweet things - brownies, cookies, cakes, muffins, cupcakes... anything else I can think of.
