I hope we get to see the sun today. Seattle gets (on average) less rainfall each year than Ohio, but the number of overcast, damp days -- particularly in the Winter -- is significantly more.

Perfect weather for drinking tea, actually. And this Sweet Coconut Thai Chai tea from Celestial Seasonings is a new favorite! I don't usually add sweetener to my tea, but a spoonful of xylitol and a dash of milk make this chai super yummy. Back in October, Kroger had Celestial Seasonings tea for $1 a box -- a really great price which allowed me to restock some of our favorites and get a few new ones to try. :)

Tea
If I saw right when I was there on Tuesday, Fred Meyer has the celestial seasoning teas for $1/box right now. Might be $1.50. Still a good deal. I also love their red tea, particularly the madagascar vanilla one. So good with a spash of sweetener and milk.
And what darling pictures of Ruth!
Ah yes....good old rainy

By the way...
Ruth is almost 1 already isn't she? Natalie my youngest will be 1 on 2/26. I can't believe it!

Mmmm, I love Chai tea.
Ruth is so adorable :)!!! With sunshine like that in your life who needs the sun ;). Just kidding (sort of ;)), I can't imagine how difficult the consistently overcast days must be to get used to. I hope you get your "real" sunshine today :)!
YUM!
We have this tea too and my children love it ( 2 & 4) and it is a good way to get a little milk in the 4 year old who prefers not to drink milk at all!
We went to Starbucks yesterday and I had the Berry Chai infusion... I am almost certain it was cranberry juice with a chai tea bag steeped in it and I will be making that at home! That way I can use 100% juice and skip some sugar ( not to mention save some $$!)
Stay cozy and that picture of Ruth is precious- I just could cuddle her to pieces!
p.s.
That was me... about the berry tea infusion- forgot to sign in!
I am making farmhouse chicken again tonight- cannot wait to eat it and share it with a guest tonight!
I prefer the rain over the snow
Its such a shame to wish for rain living in Washington but we awoke to at least an inch of snow. You can't capture a better picture w/ the snow lacing the trees and covering the pine trees. But the snow has over stayed its welcome and I'm ready for our normal rain. So next time I'm in the store I will be looking for a good tea and a book just for these kind of days :)Thanks for the tip
Thai Chai Tea
Funny timing! My sister got a box of the Thai Coconut Chai Tea in her stocking and when I sampled it this morning we both agreed that it was really nasty! You and I must have very different taste. I usually like chai, I just didn't like that one. Funny!

That is my favorite chai
That is my favorite chai tea! It's really good brewed with nut milks - hazelnut or almond milks, especially.
Coconut Thai Chai
Not only is it a fun rhyme to say, but that tea is one of my favorites as well. For extra creaminess, heat a cup of milk up and steep the tea in the milk instead of just adding a little milk to the tea. I also agree that this tea is made to be sweetened.

mmmm
I bought the same flavor when our Kroger had that sale....love it!
Look at that poor tired baby, she just played herself to sleep I bet. She is a doll baby even in her sleep!
I had one who would go to sleep like that....I found him in a pile of leaves once, asleep. Once he got on a battery operated jeep and drove himself to sleep...and yet another time when he was about 7, he fell asleep in the bathtub! (Yikes!) ...I had learned about his sleepy spells by this point and only had a little water in the tub...otherwise..whew! :-)
