Making Your Home a Haven: Doorways and entrance!

Making your home a haven

For this week's Making Your Home a Haven challenge, let's focus on tidying and cleaning the entrance way to our homes!

When your husband or children come through the door, are they stepping over toys, shoes, and crumpled rugs, or are they greeted by a clean, clear landing for their tired feet? :)

Let's organize, clear out, and clean around our doorway(s) and entrance(s)! Maybe you need to re-organize, or maybe your children need a training session about where their shoes, mittens, hats, etc. belong! :)

I hope you are also keeping up with your morning and evening routines, along with your bed time/wake up time! :) I am thankful for a better week last week in those regards. I still need to work harder though! My motivation had been way down recently. :|

If you blog about doing this challenge (before and after pictures are always great!), be sure to come here and leave a link to your post! :)I'll post my before and after pictures later today. :)

In all honesty...

In all honesty my husband needs a lesson in where shoes and such go more than my kids! Being 30 weeks pregnant, constantly bending down to put his stuff away is getting old!

This weeks challnege is not

This weeks challnege is not a big one for us as we dont have a cluttered entry, just a big wicker laundry hamper that all our shoes go in. I am still working on an evening routine I can manage.

Wintertime in an apartment

We use an empty paper grocery bag as an extra mat that can get dirty with snow grime from our boots!

I'll blog...

about this later on today. :) ~Tanya - mama to 5 with #6 on the way. :)

Monday challenge

I am loving the monday challenges and posting them to my blog as well, Today is one I have been needing to get done for a while. My apartment is upstairs and the stairs could use some cleaning as well aa the small entry way at the bottom Thanks so much!

Great Challenge

This challenge was right on the mark today. I had already done this before I got sick, but you know how things can go when your sick.

Where are you hiding?

Where are you hiding in my home? Shoes, toys, crumpled rugs. This is my entry way. It seems that everything that got brougth into our home this weekend just stopped right there. This is my plan of attack for this evening. I'll post pictures (before might be too embarrassing) later in the evening and link up.

entrance way

This is one area of the house that I didn't need to declutter or clean. It's totally empty except for the odd scuff mark and dust on the tiles.

It would be nice to make it look more homely though - maybe I can hang a picture or get a little skinny desk or something to make it look more used.

I've added some good pictures on my blog for todays challenge.

Thanks :)

This was helpful today; been 'thinking' about doing it for days and as we have people over for dinner tonight it was a good job you 'pushed' me into it (piccies on my blog)!!

Thanks :)
