Its good to have you back blogging. I really enjoy your site, and check it often to look for new content.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience. Tammy hasn't had the opportunity to blog much recently between helping with the technical aspects and with family visiting. We have also tried to get out a lot this summer as the Rainy Seattle fall will shortly be upon us.

Now that we have the fundamentals in good repair (at least I think so!!) we can start doing some of the things we intended to do 3 years ago. One of the neat aspects of te Drupal platform is that it is very versatile. My current check list weighs in with about 50 "to do" items. I wanted to get some of these new features active immediately we decided after a number of delays (and an aging backup) that we would go live with what we had and fix the rest as time permitted. We both feel bad about the lost content, especially the reviews and comments that make Tammy's site so great. The community here is really great and we are hoping to broaded the community aspects of the website to make it bigger and better. I would mention some of our plans, but then people may start asking why I haven't gotten them working yet!

Don't fret if you see some changes or don't like something... it will probably change with time ;) A lot of little tweaks here and there (like I just changed the poll bar color) will occur and we will probably be shifting around some of the content blocks, especially on the home page. Eeek! Hopefully we don't confuse people. The goal is to make the site more user friendly and making the core content more accessible. Tammy's posts, the Recipe and Reviews, and the social elements are things we really want accessible as those are the most popular items on the site.

I hope you guys all enjoy the new site. I feel bad telling Tammy 3 years ago, "Just pick a template, when you get some content I will make you a real design." Hmmm now THAT didn't go as planned... hopefully the new layout works well with everyone's browsers. Let me know if you find a problem.

What a beautiful new site! I'm excited to hear about the recipe box feature as I don't always write down the recipes, or when I do they are on little scraps of paper that get lost or thrown away. Now I don't have to use as much time to look them up again and again, though I am trying to compile a notebook of favorites, which includes your caramel sauce!

This is absolutely wonderful! I love the new site. I'm glad that you mentioned the new design because I usually read your blog through a reader wouldn't have known.

The "recipe box" looks fabulous. I think I will post about this on my blog. (Although I think I only have 3 people who read my blog :-)

LOVE the new design!! So chic!! I'm excited to use the recipe box because my kids always ask "is this a recipe from Tammy?" So fun to have great recipes to go to. I always recommend your site to my friends if they want good, healthy, and easy food to make!!

I love everything you've done with the site. I KNOW it takes hours and hours of work to redesign and reorganize and rethink everything. It looks wonderful and will be very user friendly. GOOD JOB!!

This is wonderful Tammy! I'm so excited for you. I cannot wait to start adding recipes to my recipe box. I'm always having to come back here and rewrite your recipes down because I'll lose my notecards or whatnot.

Also, I have to comment on your husband. He makes me smile because he reminds me so much of my husband in the way he speaks! I bet they'd get along really well. lol

I think this looks great! I also love the recipe box idea, so I'll have to check that out :-) The one thing I don't like is the stuff at the top left, directly above the articles. I like to be able to see new articles right away, without scrolling down. I know you guys are still changing things, which is why I mentioned it. Overall, though, awesome job!
