This pie is absolutely delicious!! We had gone apple picking and had 12 pounds of apples, so I was looking for a good apple pie recipe. Since all of your recipes that I've tried have turned out wonderfully, I knew you wouldn't let me down on this one - and I was right. My husband and I LOVE this pie. The only downside is that between the Foolproof Pie Crust and this pie recipe, my prep time was about 2.5 hours... but that included washing, peeling and slicing all the apples, refrigerating the crust dough, etc. Combine that with the fact that I'm an inexperienced cook/baker, and that explains that. However, this delicious pie was well worth the work!!
