| So simple and delicious! I have wanted to make pretzels for years and years but just never had a "reason" to do so. Finally, this weekend, I just did it, along with a batch of bagels. I have two bread makers, and got a batch of each going. While the bagels were resting after being divided into balls, we stretched out the pretzels, shaped, boiled, and baked them. I did notice that the texture wasn't quite the same as the bagels, perhaps because they weren't boiled as long, I don't know. I would like to experiment next time with boiling longer to see if it gets that familiar taste of the rare treats of mall pretzels, or wherever. :-) SO am going to make these again - thanks for the simple, quick recipe. |
