Kitchen Tip Tuesdays: Hosted at Armstrong Family Fare this week

Kitchen Tip Tuesdays

I'm taking today off from hosting Kitchen Tip Tuesdays. Would you believe we have more doctor appointments and an outpatient surgery scheduled this week?! (I'm not the one having surgery.) At any rate, I'm thinking this has just got to be the last week of doctors, surgeries, and babysitters at our house for hopefully quite a long time! :)

Willa at Armstrong Family Fare is our Kitchen Tip Tuesdays hostess this week while I'm busy baby-snuggling and wrapping up loose ends at home.

Head over to Armstrong Family Fare to add your kitchen tips and check out her tip for Crumbs Made Simple! No, not the kind of crumbs you get when you give a kid a cookie... although those are pretty easy to come by too. ;)

Wow, your life lately is sounding a lot like mine! Poor thing! ;o) I fully understand the unceasing round of doctors appointments, ill or recovering family members, and sudden "events" that turn your world upside down. Just when you start getting your feet under you, something happens and it's as if gravity suddenly shifted and you have to learn to stand up and walk all over again!

I have three children, two with disabilities. The youngest also has lots of medical problems (he has more than 10 doctors, and it used to be 14!). I've also had a handful of doctors and some surgeries myself to take care of medical problems. So... the last four years have been pretty unpredictable, to say the least!

I guess the encouragement I wanted to send is that you and your wonderful family WILL survive, despite a messy house and cereal every day (or even more often... ahem!). It's frustrating to feel like you're scrambling and even failing at times to get the bare essentials done, but don't feel badly about it. Remember the things that have REAL importance; faith, peace, family love. Messes and meals and schedules won't matter a year from now. Your life will settle down and you will have smooth sailing again one day. I know that you know all of this, but it always helps to hear it from someone else who has "been there, done that!"

Take care; you have a lot of people praying for you!

Michelle (just a random reader)

Thank you so much for your encouragement, Michelle! :) I keep telling myself that this is the last possible thing that could happen. And if anything else tries to "happen" I will put my foot down!! haha! ;)

Tammy, I hope that the procedure(s) that your hubby is having will take care of his symptoms. I know it's been a long time a' coming! Take care and hopefully things will slow down really soon.
Susan Watson (Sandlappersue)

Thank you, Susan! :)

Praying much for you guys! God's grace is sufficient, but I certainly understand how overwhelming it is when one thing after another happens. Keep me posted how things go and how to be praying! :hugs:

I know what you are going through! One year I actually made it my New Year's resolution to not have any surgeries that year. LOL we only made it 2 weeks before we broke it. I hope ya'll can catch a break soon and that everyone heals well and quickly.
