Here is Yehoshua's very first zoo! He built it with his Aunt Amy. In the back you can see a blue and green bowl, which is a pond for a duckie and a frog. Other animals have their own pens, with long narrow blocks fo their "food". The monkey is hanging from a "monkey cage" (piece of an old baby wipes container). :)
Every day, Yehoshua asks us to build zoos with him. There seem to be unlimited combinations of pens and creatures! :D

Here is the grand zoo that my sisters and Yehoshua built when they stayed at our house a couple weekends ago. They used every single one of Yehoshua's toys! The animals are in cages according to their kind. There is a parking lot where all of Yehoshua's toy cars are parked. (The toy cell phone is in one of the cars!) Every toy was either part of the zoo walls, an animal, some food, or part of the animal's habitat.

Here is Yehoshua's own invention, a baby go-kart! He rigged up this laundry basket on top of the walker and said "ShoSha, Baby, ride!" Daddy helped them with that one, and I snapped a picture!
In the middle picture, if you look closely you can see that Yehoshua had a new haircut! My brother Richard gives Yehoshua such nice haircuts. Unfortunately, Yehoshua does NOT behave for his haircuts. I am going to have to train him on that! :)

CUTE!!!!
CUTE!!!!
So cute! I need to find
So cute! I need to find Malachi some more blocks. They are such a great, versatile toy but I've been having a hard time finding some here!
And I laughed that the toy cell phone is a car to Yehoshua...Malachi pretends his cars (and just about everything else) are phones! He is always pretending to talk on a phone. He doesn't get that from me, that's for sure! (I'm bad about making phone calls.)

Oh...haha, I read that
Oh...haha, I read that wrong. The toy cell phone is IN the car, not IS a car...:-P

Children and toys
Thanks, Victoria! :)
Ruth, that's funny! I think little children pick up on anything that makes them feel "grown-up", like babbling on phones. :) My brothers have cell phones and whenever Yehoshau can get over his fear of them (the vibrating ring! haha) he asks to play with them. :)
