
Fresh cabbage, chopped and fried in a little oil, seasoned with salt
8-10 servings
1 medium sized head of cabbage, washed
2-4 Tablespoons oil
1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1. Cut cabbage into bite-sized bits, removing cabbage heart from center of head first.
2. Put oil in a large skillet, covering bottom. Add cabbage and stir slightly. Cover and heat on Medium until starting to sizzle and steam, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir again and reduce heat to medium-medium low. Continue heating, covered, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.

This is one of my favorite ways to eat cabbage! It has such a good flavor, and this fried cabbage makes a great side dish. This was how I most enjoyed cabbage, growing up. My rating: 9/10.
