Delicious!

My family is VERY PICKY about their cheesecakes. In fact, we rarely buy cheesecake, as we make our own New York style family recipe.

For the 4th of July, I made Tammy's cheesecake pie to the ravings of my family! It was delicious! Perfect consistency, dense texture. I had to adjust the cooking temp and time for our convection oven and have since made another to sell by the slice in our bakery.

Stuffed Shells are perfect for an extra special family dinner (10/10)

This is a really great recipe that is unique yet practical. While it takes a little extra work to do compared to a typical casserole or lasagna, the end result is worth it as the individually stuffed shells scream, "I am special!" The little extra care that the dish requires is deceptive (it makes it look like you did a lot of work!) and makes it perfect for family meals or guests. And if that were not enough the flavor is excellent and they are fun to eat.

Super comfort food

This is my recipe as well so I'm going to go ahead and review it. (My review refers to the baking recipe.) This is the only mac & cheese I'll eat, it's that good! Wonderfully cheesy with many possible variations; throw in some diced jalapenos or just a dash of cayenne to give it a kick.

The only difference is that I top the dish with crushed crackers or breadcrumbs after stirring, then continue baking uncovered for 20 or so minutes, without stirring. (I use a skewer to see if it's firm and done.) That gives it a wonderfully crunchy top and soaks up the excess liquid.

I'll give this a ten. Sure it's not gourmet, but as far as mac and cheese goes, this is THE way to make it! :)

Excellent meal or side that is easily prepared ahead (10/10)

I have to agree with Tammy, this is very delicious salad and is a great way to use left over grilled chicken. The nice thing is you can prepare it ahead of time. Toss your salad and slice up your chicken and when you are ready to serve you put the sliced chicken on the salad and you are ready to go! For extra flavor, try using leftover grilled lemon garlic pepper chicken or grilled garlic lime chicken. This will add a zippy citrus tang to the chicken which will play off the salad delightfully.

Baked beans done right! (10/10)

I give this recipe and enthusiastic 10. I am not the biggest bean fan and most baked beans are not enjoyable for me. This recipe on the other hand has great flavor and texture and also is very pretty. It can be baked in the oven or cooked quickly on the stove top. It may only be a side dish of beans, but it tastes great and due to the variety of beans has a bit of nutrition. As a non-bean fan I find these beans an attractive addition to a meal. Two thumbs up!

Quick and easy way to color up noodles (7/10)

I really enjoy egg noodles. While not the most exciting dish they do make a nice compliment to a wide variety of meals. This recipe is easy and adds a bit of color--and taste!--to traditional noodles. This is a neat way to fancy up a meal without adding a lot of work.
